Porta Potty Rental FAQ: Murfreesboro Customer Questions
These are the questions people ask before renting a porta potty in Murfreesboro, answered by Sean Rental Works. Each answer starts with the fact you need. Topic pages go deeper on cost, sizing, delivery and pickup and same-day orders.
Most quotes are given on the first call. Mon–Fri 7:00 AM–6:00 PM · Sat 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
Booking & scheduling
How far in advance do I need to reserve for a weekend in June?
Reserve a June weekend 1–2 weeks ahead. Graduations, weddings and reunions fill the event fleet first, and restroom trailers need 3–6 weeks.
What's the deadline to book for this weekend?
Weekend units are dropped Thursday or Friday, so book by Thursday morning for a Friday drop. Call (615) 237-2507 to check what is left.
If we don't need it rushed, what's the normal turnaround?
A normal order arrives in 1–2 business days after booking, with no rush fee.
Can it be dropped off Thursday morning when someone is there?
Add a note asking for a Thursday morning drop and dispatch places you early on the route when possible. An exact hour can't be promised, so a cone on the spot is the backup.
Will the pickup be before noon?
Pickups run on weekday routes between 7 AM and 5 PM. Ask for a morning pickup and dispatch notes it on the route.
Can we put a tentative hold on a unit until tomorrow?
Dispatch can hold a unit and a quote for a short time. Peak dates can fill, so confirm as early as you can.
Can you save this quote and text it to me?
Every quote can be texted or emailed as an itemized invoice you can sign later.
I've never rented a porta potty before. Where do I start?
Start with three answers: the address, the dates and how many people. Dispatch takes it from there. The step-by-step rental guide shows the whole process.
I already sent a request on the website. Should I still call?
Calling is faster for same-day or this-week dates. Mention your web request and dispatch matches it so you don't get two bookings.
Delivery & placement
Are there any rules about where the porta potty has to go?
On your own property the unit can go anywhere level and reachable. The street or public right-of-way needs City approval. Read when a permit is needed in Murfreesboro.
Can you put it in the backyard?
A backyard works when the gate or path is at least 4 feet wide and the ground is level. Accessible units need about 8 feet.
Our driveway is on a slope. Is that okay?
A slight slope is fine. A steep driveway needs a flatter spot at the top or bottom, or a level patch of lawn beside it.
Can it go on the lawn?
A unit can sit on firm lawn. Skip low, soggy spots after heavy rain so the unit stays level.
I'll put out cones or ribbon where we want it. Is that okay?
A cone, flag, ribbon or chalk X is exactly what the driver looks for. Add a text photo if the spot is hard to find.
There's a gate, but it'll be open. Is that enough?
An open gate at least 4 feet wide is all the driver needs. If it might be locked, text the code or leave the gate unlatched.
I don't have an exact address. It's a rural road or new lot.
Send a map pin, the nearest crossroad, or the lot number and subdivision name. Dispatch quotes by the pin's location.
Where are you coming from?
Every truck leaves the Sean Rental Works yard at 2325 Southpark Dr, Murfreesboro, TN 37128.
Pricing & payment
Is it a flat rate, or are there other charges added?
The quote shows every charge as a line: unit, delivery, pickup, service, any rush fee and tax. The total you approve is the total you pay unless you add services.
Can you give me the breakdown of delivery and weekly service?
Dispatch reads each line on the call and the e-signed invoice lists them. Weekly service is included in job-site cycles, not a separate weekly charge.
What's your weekly rate?
Job-site units bill per 28-day cycle with weekly service, not by the week. Short event rentals are priced per event. See the cost guide for typical ranges.
Do you price by mileage?
Delivery is priced by the ZIP code and distance from the Murfreesboro yard, which is why the address comes first.
If I order two instead of five, does the unit price stay the same?
Unit prices stay close, but several units on one stop share a delivery, so the per-unit total drops as quantity goes up.
Does the lock cost extra?
The lockable hasp is free on request. You supply the padlock.
We're a nonprofit or tax exempt. Can you remove the tax?
Send your Tennessee tax-exempt certificate with the booking and tax is removed from the invoice.
Do you take American Express?
Debit and credit cards are accepted, including American Express.
Can you send me a link instead of taking my card over the phone?
Every booking can be paid from a secure link on the texted or emailed invoice.
Can you put our company name on the invoice?
Give dispatch the company name and billing email, and the invoice is issued to the business.
How do I sign the invoice on my phone?
Open the text or email, tap the invoice link, and sign with your finger. No printing needed.
Is there a senior or military discount?
Ask dispatch when you call. Any available discount is shown as its own line on the quote.
Still have a question?
Dispatch answers on the first call. Ask anything before you book.
Units & what's inside
I'm not a porta potty expert. Are there different ones?
Five types are available: standard, deluxe flushing, wheelchair-accessible, restroom trailers and hand washing stations. The unit comparison shows each side by side.
Is it like the ones at a concert or a construction site?
A standard unit is the same style you see at concerts and job sites. Event units come from a separate, cleaner fleet.
Does the standard one have hand sanitizer or a washing station?
Every standard unit has a hand sanitizer dispenser. A sink comes with the deluxe flushing unit or a separate hand washing station.
So the regular one with a sink just has a holding tank, like a camper?
A unit with a sink uses an onboard fresh-water tank for the sink and a holding tank for waste, much like a camper. Nothing hooks up to plumbing.
Do you have water dispensers for events?
Sean Rental Works rents restrooms and hand washing stations, not drinking water. Hand washing stations are filled with fresh water for washing only.
Does the porta potty have a light inside?
Standard units have a translucent roof for daylight. For night use, hang a battery lantern outside the door. Restroom trailers have interior lights.
Service & cleaning
How many times a week do you service it?
Job-site and long-term units are serviced once a week. A second weekly visit can be added for big crews or summer heat.
If I keep an event unit for a week, will you clean it?
An event unit kept for a week can have a mid-week service added to the quote. Ask when you book.
What happens to the waste? Can it spill?
Waste stays sealed in the unit's tank until the service truck pumps it out and hauls it to a licensed treatment facility. The tank does not drain onto the ground.
Does it get restocked with toilet paper?
Each service restocks toilet paper and refills sanitizer. Event units arrive fully stocked.
I don't need a rental. Can you pump out my own porta potty?
Call dispatch with the location and number of units. Service for customer-owned units can be scheduled when a truck is already in the area.
Policies, changes & pickup
If we need to cancel or add a sink, how does that work?
Cancel free up to 24 hours before scheduled delivery. Additions like a hand washing station can be made up to 24 hours before delivery. See the rental terms.
Do you have a refund policy?
A cancellation made at least 24 hours before delivery is refunded in full. Inside 24 hours, the delivery charge may be kept if the truck is already routed.
Can I extend my rental?
Call or text before the pickup date. Event rentals extend by the event period; job-site rentals simply continue into the next 28-day cycle.
Can I reschedule a service day? Nobody will be there to let you in.
Text dispatch the new day or a gate code. Service doesn't need anyone present if the truck can reach the unit.
What if the porta potty gets tipped over or vandalized?
Call dispatch right away. Normal wear is covered; vandalism, fire, vehicle damage or tipping is billed to the renter. A lock hasp and a spot near a wall lower the risk.
