Why Weekend Events Get a Friday Drop and Monday Pickup
Sean Rental Works drivers don't run on weekends, so a Saturday or Sunday event gets its porta potty on Thursday or Friday and picked up on Monday, at no extra charge. You get the unit in place before setup day, with no rush to clear it Sunday night. Lock the porta potty when it's not in use, and leave the path open for Monday.

Why does my weekend porta potty come on Thursday or Friday?
Sean Rental Works drivers run deliveries and pickups on weekdays from 7 AM to 5 PM, so a weekend porta potty drops on Thursday or Friday. Routes are built the morning of delivery, and the driver calls about 30–60 minutes before arriving. You can add a note like "after 9 AM", but no exact hour is promised.
You don't have to be there. Mark the spot, unlock the gate or text the code, and move parked cars.
Step-by-step details are on how porta potty rental works.
Do the extra days cost more?
The Thursday or Friday drop and the Monday pickup cost nothing extra for a weekend event. A weekend porta potty is priced as one Friday-to-Monday rental, with delivery and pickup listed on the itemized quote. The extra 2 or 3 days give you setup time before guests arrive and cleanup time after.
Every quote lists the unit, rental length, delivery, pickup, servicing and tax. See porta potty rental cost for typical ranges.
How do I secure a porta potty over the weekend in a park?
A porta potty left in a park from Friday to Monday should sit close to your reserved shelter, away from parking lots and ball fields, and stay locked when your group isn't using it, including 2 nights unattended. Get the park's OK on the exact spot before delivery, and ask about a lockable hasp when you book.
- Reserve the shelterAsk the park where portable toilets are allowed.
- Mark the spotUse a cone or flag the driver can see from the road.
- Lock it Friday nightBring your own padlock for the hasp.
- Unlock it Saturday morningGive the key to one person.
Events held entirely on City Parks property are exempt from Murfreesboro's special event permit, per the City special events ordinance. The park still sets its own rules.

Should I put a lock on the porta potty?
A lock keeps a weekend porta potty clean and stocked until your guests arrive. Lock the porta potty Friday night, unlock it the morning of the event, and lock it again after the last guest leaves. Keep the key with 1 person, and tape a phone number to the door.

A unit set against a fence or wall is harder to tip and easier to watch.
What should I do Sunday night after the event?
On Sunday night, close the porta potty lid and door, pick up trash around the unit, take off your padlock, and clear the path so the truck can park within about 15 feet on Monday. Never move or tip a full porta potty. Leave the porta potty where the driver set it.
- Lid down, door shut
- Padlock off so the driver isn't stuck
- Trash bagged and away from the unit
- Cars, tents and coolers out of the path
- Gate unlocked or code texted for Monday
What if I need the unit longer, or picked up early?
A weekend porta potty can't be picked up on Saturday or Sunday, because drivers don't run weekends. If you need the porta potty through Tuesday or longer, call the office during weekday hours or on Saturday from 8 AM to noon, and the Monday pickup can be moved.
Changes and additions are fine up to 24 hours before delivery. After that, call the office.
How do I get the spot ready before the drop?
Get the spot ready the day before the drop, because the driver may arrive any time between 7 AM and 5 PM. A ready spot for a weekend porta potty is firm and level, about 4 feet by 4 feet, with a 4-foot path and room for the truck to park within about 15 feet.
- Mark the spot with a cone, flag, ribbon or chalk X
- Unlock the gate, or text the gate code to dispatch
- Move cars, trailers and tents out of the path
- Add a note like "after 9 AM" if the morning is busy

Who is responsible for the unit over the weekend?
Normal wear on a porta potty is Sean Rental Works' cost. Four things are billed to the renter: vandalism, fire, vehicle impact or tipping the unit over, so a weekend porta potty in a public park needs a safe spot and a lock. Sean Rental Works is not responsible for lawn marks from the truck or unit.
